Penang, land of laksa, char kuey teow and chinese temples. Bored of the same old thing whenever you’re in Penang? How about paying a visit to the Butterfly Farm at Teluk Bahang?

Visited this place 8 years ago and was back there recently.  Surprisingly it’s still well maintained. And MyKad holders only pay RM5.00 (instead of RM10.00) for entrance fees.

Couldn’t find any exotic type of butterflies with those shiny blue wings, but it’s still a nice place for photo-bugs.

Plus you get to practise creeping up on the butterflies to get a good close up shot too. All you have is just a kit lens? Fear not. Visitors are allowed to get really close to the butterflies so the kit lens works just fine.

Here we go again. Another year. Another list of resolutions. Some get fulfilled. Some don’t. And as usual, time flies, and before you know it, it’s 2010!

Pork meatballs with mushroom gravy, purely my own experimented recipe. Try at your own risk ;)

Minced pork
Carrot
Shallots
Raw white button mushrooms (can be bought from Jusco. Small pack for RM8.00. Expensive!)

Tis a season for sales, and that includes Gundam sales too! Woke up before 10 on a Saturday morning to check out this Litt Tak toys warehouse sales in Cheras. And I was not disappointed! Even bumped into a colleague grabbing Power Rangers figurines too.

Verdict : A little above average.
Button mushrooms rocks. Fried button mushrooms rocks even more. And I found such rocking fried button mushrooms at Bongsen, a Viet-French fusion restaurant in KLCC.
